Obverse: predominant color is medium blue. Main images are the «Kazakh Yeli» monument and the «flying doves». At the upper part are the state symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan: National Emblem and National Flag. Bottom left and at the upper is the denomination value written in digits, in the center wording in State language. In the center left the "ҚАЗАҚСТАН ҰЛТТЫҚ БАНКІ" inscription indicating the emitting bank and the "БАНКНОТТАРДЫ ҚОЛДАН ЖАСАУ ЗАҢМЕН ҚУДАЛАНАДЫ" inscription in Kazakh language stating that counterfeiting banknotes is against the law.
Reverse: the main image is the Caspian Sea with the shape of contour map of Kazakhstan in the background. At bottom left and at the top right is the denomination value written in digits, from below in between wording in Russian; inscription «Подделка банкнот преследуется по закону» is located at the left corner on the white field.

Watermark: Image of mythic bird «Samruk» consists of dark and light tones, which are well visible against the light.
