Obverse: Portrait of His Excellency Dr. Sam Nujoma (born 12 May 1929) is a Namibian revolutionary, anti-apartheid activist and politician who served three terms as the first President of Namibia, from 1990 to 2005.
  The Namibian Parliament building in Windhoek at center, symbolizing Namibia’s sovereignty. At the top are the name of the bank in English: BANK OF NAMIBIA. The face value of the banknote N$10 at upper left and bottom right corners, in words: "TEN NAMIBIA DOLLARS" along the left side of the banknote.
  Governor’s Signature: Signed by the Governor of Bank of Namibia, Mr. Ipumbu Shiimi. The Governor’s signature is printed in intaglio.

Reverse: A closeup of a head of a Springbok Antelope (Antidorcas marsupialis) at right and a vignette showing Springbok antelopes standing in grass at center. The Coat of Arms of Namibia to the left of the center along the upper side of the banknote. At the bottom center are the name of the bank in English: BANK OF NAMIBIA. The face value of the banknote N$10 at upper left and bottom right corners.

Janus Security Thread: A colour shifting security thread which depicts the Bank’s initial “BON” and the banknote value 10.
Diaphan- See through design : The blurred texts on the right top corner of the banknote, when held up against the light, the blurred text form “BON” text and the surrounding iridescent frame becomes opaque.
Optical Variation Ink (OVI): The diamond changes colour from gold to green on the N$10 banknote. The banknote value appears at the centre depending on the angle of view.
Colour: The dominant colour of the N$10 banknote is blue and green on multicolored underprint.
